Dear Elis!
I received your letter with great joy as well as the card. Now let’s forget what happened, but in the future I would like to have it, and that my letters I have written to you also stay with you. I also want to know why my letter interests Mary so much.
Now dear Elis I believe, that this week we will move from second, so address the next letter home to me because my brother and I are buying a car then every day we will drive home. I’ll see how it goes because I haven’t driven so much yet — with so many traffic signs it makes it more difficult.
You wrote that Alois has written me twice and not received an answer, I only received one letter and also answered it.
On Saturday Herman and I were watching races. It was nice to go again. Some were good and others wrecked because they were trying to play cat and mouse because one had hit the other from behind with their car, which was very interesting.
What news do your friends from Austria write you about?
I received a letter from my friend in Graz — he’s coming soon with the family. I’m looking forward to seeing him.
Now I believe that it won’t be very long until we see each other too, I’m looking forward to it honey.
Heartfelt greetings and many kisses, your Otto
