The above photo is of Elisabeth’s family, covered in the papers as the first immigrants to arrive in their village.

My dearest Elis,
I have received your letter with the picture, and thank you especially for the photo. It’s lovely, warm — and of course you are too! You look so natural in it. Now how long will it last before I have you completely with me?
I have your photo on the castle so that I always see it before I go to work, before I go to sleep, and in the early morning when I wake up, it shall be a really dear memory for me honey. I am longing for you — how nice it would be to kiss your lips and be allowed to nestle against your chest.
Dear Elis, you tell me that you’ve been reported in the newspaper twice. We have a different newspaper here, but it would make me very happy to see an article and photo of you. Send it to me if possible. Alois has now also written me already, have you already answered him, are you connected with Helene? Ask her whether Philipp wrote her since New York, I don’t know anything about him, he hasn’t answered me yet, maybe his address is different.
Now I must go Elis, with heartfelt greetings and intimate kisses.
Your beloved Otto
