June 3, 1952 : How Come You’re Sending Along My Letters?

Peoria June 3, 1952

Dear Elis!

I’ve received your dear letter which I learned you will probably go to Mansfield.

Last week I received a letter from the post office from Leni H. She wrote that she already had purchased a car, and complained to me that she hasn’t received a letter from Philipp. I don’t know what is up with him. He hasn’t responded to me either. Leni asked me to say hello to you as well.

Now dear Elis I must know, how come you’re sending along my letters to Mari G.? My sisters are connected with your sisters, and Mari’s sister writes Hilde what she thinks. You’re sending Mari letters and you wrote that she shouldn’t write you anymore – what’s that about? What’s going on with you two?

I’m not writing you so that you continue sending them along — you wouldn’t wish for me to send your letters along? Now i hope soon to have clarity on why you wanted that.

Greetings from your Otto
