Dear Otto,
I must write to you again out of sheer boredom and nostalgia, in spite of not receiving an answer to my Easter card yet. I’m sure you must be very busy. I’m all alone, you can’t imagine what it means to be this lonely. I’ve already had many difficult hours in school. Everyone laughs when I say something wrong. I asked my father so many times to take me out of school. It was difficult but I managed to change his mind. Now I must only go for two more months until school ends.
On Easter I spent the entire day alone at home. I received many gifts, but I don’t care about them. My aunt was in Graz, but came up before Easter from Texas. Then I received two letters from Leni. She asked me to request from you an address for Phillip, as well as a photo of him. You know from Bremen. She sends you many greetings, and would be happy to receive a letter from you. Don’t think badly, I have endless love for you.
Heartfelt greetings and intimate kisses, your Elis
